For two companies A and B, costs of debt are 5% p.a. Both companies have equal business risk. Company A is financed exclusively by equity, shareholders demand a ROE of 12%; company B has a debt ratio of 50%.
a) Company A has a shareholder value of 5.000.000 €. Calculate the absolute ROI (EBIT) of company A.
b) Company B has the same ROI (EBIT) as company A. What is the shareholder value of B?
c) Calculate the cost of equity for company B.
6) Multiple Choice. (Be cautious: if your answer is wrong you get a negative point!)

Also zu Antwort
a) geh mal davon aus, dass bei 5 % und 12 % der Rwacc in da mitte liegt ( 50 % dept rate is Leverage von 1 ).. was dann 8,5 % sind
ROI = Rwacc * (E+D) und bei Firma A is D = 0 --> umformen und ROI is 425000 dann bei mir
b) naja ... bei Firma B is halt (E+D) 50:50 was dann für E die hälfte von 5000000 ausmachn würd. Das sollte ja der SV sein.
c) is dann ROe = E * Re und dabei hab ich dann ... 300000
a) 425.000
b)2.500.000
c) 300.000
also hier: ROI= 0,12 *(500000)
ROI=60.000
also 60000=0,12*(E+d)
D+E= 500000
E=250000=D
c) rwacc= rd*(D/D+E) + re *(E/E+D)
0,12= 0,05 *0,5 + re * 0,5
re= 0,19 = 19%
Rd is 5 %, Rwacc is 12 % - nachdem ja das Buisness Risiko für beide Firmen gleich is - was dann zur Folge hätte, dass Re 19 % is
A normative theory makes statements about what people should do in order to
achieve their goals 0 0 --> richtig (siehe Folien)
The efficient markets hypothesis (EMH) can be seen as a kind of generalization of the
random walk thesis 0 0 --> richtig (siehe Buch)
Superior information cannot be harmful for me if the others do not know that I have

A person, who has no experience and no information at all, will perform in the stock market
at an average rate (market return). A person, who has no experience at all in motorcar
racing, will cross the finishing line as last. Explain the difference between both.
lg
There are three stocks A, B, and C with the following characteristics:
Stock: A B C
Expected return: A:0,07 B:0,085 C:0,13
Beta: A:0,5 C:1,5
Total risk (sigma): A:0,4 B:0,75
Further data: sM=0,6 ,risk-free-rate 0,04 ,correlation(AB)=0,3
What is under the condition of a CAPM-efficient market..
a) .. the risk-premium of the market (RPM)?
b) .. the beta of stock B?
c) .. the return of a portfolio B (2/3) and C (1/3)?
d) .. the covariance covAM?
e) .. the systematic risk (in terms of s) of C?
f) .. the nonsystematic risk (in terms of s) of B?
g) .. the risk (in terms of s) of portfolio AB (1:1)?
h) .. the slope of the capital market line?
i) .. the beta of a portfolio B (2/3) and C (1/3)?
j) .. the covariance covAB?
